Shared plight fosters sociability
Barry Robinson's one-hour commute to his Baltimore job stretched to four hours and he consoled himself with a stop at Corned Beef Row for "a big one" from Attman's. With the aftermath of this weekend's snowstorm lying heavy over the region, countless thousands of Marylanders were left inconvenienced, aggravated and just plain stuck.

As crews continued to clear roads, train tracks and runways of packed snow and ice from the weekend blizzard, another storm was expected to pummel the region today, causing headaches for those returning to work

MSNBC Interviewer Cuts the Mic When Discussing Letterman - Palin UPDATE: Letterman Feeling Some Heat?
Filed under: — Robert Farrow @ 10:05 pm

Crossposted from Flopping Aces

UPDATE below the fold.

Contessa Brewer interviews John Ziegler regarding David Letterman’s tasteless comments about Sarah Palin and daughter, Willow.

For background on the kerfuffle, see Curt’s post here.

When the interview got too hot to handle, Brewer orders Ziegler’s mic cut.

Roll the tape:

Letterman doubled down last night.

Roll the tape:

Exit question:

Who, on the left, has decried this hateful misogyny toward Sarah Palin and her minor daughter?

Anyone?

Anyone?

Didn’t think so.

UPDATE:

Apparently Letterman is feeling some heat about his back to back comments regarding Sarah Palin and her minor daughter.

According to Entertainment Weekly (EW.com) Letterman tried to back pedal and gloss over his disgusting comments during tonights’ taping of his show.

“We were, as we often do, making jokes about people in the news and we made some jokes about Sarah Palin and her daughter [Bristol]… and now they’re upset with me…” Letterman says on tonight’s show. “These are not jokes made about her 14-year-old daughter. I would never, never make jokes about raping or having sex of any description with a 14-year-old girl…. Am I guilty of poor taste? Yes. Did I suggest that it was okay for her 14-year-old daughter to be having promiscuous sex? No.” Saying he hopes he’s “cleared part of this up,” Letterman extended an invitation to Palin to come on the show as a guest.

Sorry Dave. Not buying it.

Too little. Too late.

By the way, still no outrage from the left.

Obama: Mirandize Terrorists Captured Waging War On America, Update: An Obama Flip-Flop?

Unbelievable!

[T]he Obama Justice Department has quietly ordered FBI agents to read Miranda rights to high value detainees captured and held at U.S. detention facilities in Afghanistan, according a senior Republican on the House Intelligence Committee. “The administration has decided to change the focus to law enforcement. Here’s the problem. You have foreign fighters who are targeting US troops today – foreign fighters who go to another country to kill Americans. We capture them…and they’re reading them their rights – Mirandizing these foreign fighters,” says Representative Mike Rogers, who recently met with military, intelligence and law enforcement officials on a fact-finding trip to Afghanistan.

Rogers, a former FBI special agent and U.S. Army officer, says the Obama administration has not briefed Congress on the new policy…

Yup, lets return the days of treating terrorism as a crime rather then as a act of war. It worked out so well during the 90’s didn’t it?

Best way for our soldiers to win this thing? Kill the enemy instead of EVER capturing them. You capture them they may very well end up with a taxpayer funded vacation to a tropical paradise.

UPDATE

Here is Obama on the campaign trail mocking Sarah Palin’s suggestion that Obama would want terrorists mirandized:

Yeah, its just a smug smirk but a few months later he said:

“Now, do these folks deserve miranda rights? Do they deserve to be treated like a shoplifter down the block? Of course not.”

  1. What Ziegler says is right-on… and the guy’s pretty funny, too.

That’s how the free market system works… people are dying for someone to call Obama and the MSM on this stuff, and Ziegler is stepping up to fill the demand- how bout that.

If Sarah Palin is SO silly and irrelevant, why the obsession? Clearly the Left noted her appeal, and are out to eliminate the threat- it’s not like it’s not obvious.

And she’s been highly successful in life while ignoring the left-wing feminist model… this helps to explain the extra dose of venom in the attacks.

Go get em, Sarah- and don’t mind the press, nobody will be listening to them anymore after the pending Obamamania implosion-

  3. The interview was over and Ziegler was simply being a smartass jerk…he got what he wanted, self-promotional aire-time with a no-substance discussion…typical of today’s media conservatives

Ravens Team Report (Yahoo! Sports)

The Ravens are banking that Jim Zorn will continue the development of Joe Flacco into an elite franchise quarterback.

Zorn, who was the head coach for the Washington Redskins the past two seasons, was hired by Baltimore to become its quarterbacks coach on Jan. 30.

Although Zorn struggled as a head coach, the Ravens were impressed by his experience: 11 seasons as an NFL quarterback, 11 seasons as a respected NFL quarterback coach and a familiarity with their offense.

"That's a great resume for us," Harbaugh said.

Zorn replaces Hue Jackson, who joined the Oakland Raiders as their offensive coordinator. Baltimore chose Zorn because he has a history of mentoring young quarterbacks like Flacco.
