Will an Administration which campaigned on the principle of transparency stoop to such a low? You bet they will!
“Transparency and the rule of law will be the touchstones of this presidency.”
– Barack Hussein Obama, January 21, 2009
Readers may also recall this promise which Obama made repeatedly during the campaign:
Politifact recognized that promise, like so many others, proved to be nothing more than hot air. True at the time Obama said it and quickly forgotten when it was no longer convenient. To achieve health care reform, “I’m going to have all the negotiations around a big table. We’ll have doctors and nurses and hospital administrators. Insurance companies, drug companies — they’ll get a seat at the table, they just won’t be able to buy every chair. But what we will do is, we’ll have the negotiations televised on C-SPAN, so that people can see who is making arguments on behalf of their constituents, and who are making arguments on behalf of the drug companies or the insurance companies. And so, that approach, I think is what is going to allow people to stay involved in this process.”

But who would have thought Dems would be so desperate to enact a socialist takeover of health care that they would discard any hint of an open, transparent process and stoop to backroom finagling to get their way?
Most people don’t like to know how the sausage is made. But when it comes to legislation this important, you might want to pay closer attention. This could happen:
Congress’s Secret Plan to Pass Obamacare
by Brian Darling
Human Events
09/29/2009…The Senate plans to attach Obamacare to a House-passed non-healthcare bill. Ironically, nobody knows what that legislation looks like, because it has not yet been written. Yet many members plan to rubber-stamp Obamacare without reading or understanding the bill.
The following four-step scenario describes one way liberals plan to work the rules in their favor to get Obamacare through the Senate:
Granted, this is an extreme scenario and one that would entail considerable risk to Democrat senators running for re-election in 2010 (list).
However, readers need to be aware that this kind of thing is possible even as polls show large majorities of Americans are demanding Congress read the bills before voting on them as well as post them online so we might research them as well.

Pelosi - Democrat Who Accused GOP Of Wanting People To Die Quickly Shouldn’t Apologize…How About If They Accuse GOP Of Murder?
The conservative’s in this country are lowering the discourse in politics today…according to Pelosi and the left. Of course this fails to explain the lowering of discourse by Rep. Grayson who told everyone from the floor of the house that Republicans want people to “Die quickly.” Hell, the very same person who demanded the house censure a man whose only crime was yelling during a Presidents speech, and apologized for the outburst, now defends Grayson…confirming her hypocrite status (like we needed another confirmation).
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) says there’s no reason for Rep. Alan Grayson to apologize for his “Die quickly” remark, since Republicans have made statements just as outrageous as his.
“If anybody’s going apologize, everybody should apologize,” Pelosi told reporters at her weekly press conference. “We are holding Democrats to a higher standard than their own members.”
She deemed the flap over Grayson’s remarks a distraction from the healthcare debate.
“Typically, Republicans would like to use this as distraction because they have no plan,” Pelosi said.
Republicans, who have been eager to compare Grayson’s remark to Rep. Joe Wilson’s (R-S.C.) “You lie!” outburst, said Pelosi’s refusal to call on Grayson to apologize meant that she condones “despicable” conduct.
“The only thing lower than the Speaker’s actions – or inaction – are her ever-worsening public approval ratings,” said Ken Spain, spokesman for the National Republican Congressional Committee.
If anybody’s going to apologize, everybody should apologize?
Wh-wh-what?
What an ignorant dunce this lady is.
And they are holding people to higher standard by ignoring insulting language uttered by members of their party while screeching about much less grievous behavior by the other side of the aisle?
But now the aide to Grayson say’s that not only do the Republicans want people to die quickly….they want to MURDER people:
Tyler Norkus was responding to a previous email from Ken Hutcheson, a businessman in Grayson’s Orland-area district who had written of the congressman’s “die quickly” statements:
“I am embarrassed; for you, for me, and for the district my Congressman represents,” Hutcheson wrote. Time is important; it should not be wasted on childish antics like we saw in his speech on the floor.”

Subject: RE: Congressman Graysons speech on health care
As you know, we do support the health care plan and feel failure to act is similar to murdering the uninsured. On the other hand, we respect differences of opinion and I will let him know how you feel.
Best,
Tyler Norkus
Will she, or anyone from the Democrat party, hold them accountable now for truly lowering the level of discourse?
Not betting on it.
